Hello;
I was trying to create a geological texture for Ida, but it seems that the orientation of Ida in Celestia is upside down. P. Stooke's Ida north seems equal to Celestia's Ida south! Is this right, or did I missed something? Can anybody explain? Anyway it seems that you should rotate your Ida-topo map with 180 degrees to mach it with the model in Celestia.
Cheers,

Hell Ton,
At some point before my time, Celestia swtiched to using a rotation offset that makes many old textures appear rotated 180 degress and/or upside down. I know that this is annoying, but you should use the Gimp or something similar to rotate the textures unitl the locations listed match the feature you see on the planets surface.
If you rotate these textures yourself, we would love to have updated versions on the motherlode of whatever you textures you have updated like this.
Cheers,
Joe
