Lera Addon Now Finished (See ninth post on second page)

Thanks to tinypic.com, I can now put pictures of the Lera Solar System on the forum, here's the first one!


Ringed Jovalera with it's moons Marbles on the lower left and tiny Ringles within the ring on the upper right.

I would appreciate it if everyone posts to say what they thought of the images of the Lera Solar System.

Thankyou, as you would probably already be able to see, the planets aren't exactly supposed to be realistic, as this is my first solar system so this is a bit like practice for me.

An updated Lera1.zip can be expected soon with previously unrealeased planets. These (especially some of them) are much improved from the planets in these pictures (these are mostly the earlier worlds).

The most interesting planets are two near gas giants with it's unstable moons.

I'll add a new star with a system to my Sheron'nish add-on. My new system will have two near gas giants with some unstable moons. One of the moons will be electrical, like Pramarr and another will be in the center of the barycenter between the 2 planets.

I am very happy that I have inspired somebody with my Lera Solar System. I have tried your Rabud system Kikinho and I liked how the clouds looked on the double earth-like planets. The only problem with the Sheron'nish system is how big it is going to be? As I probably won't be able to download anything over 50 Mb because of limited internet time since it takes so long. You might want to consider splitting up the Sheron'nish system into several parts.

Any further comments from anybody is welcome and more pictures will be coming soon!

You can download the files with DAP internet accelerator. The newest version of DAP I know is 7.0 and you can grab it here:
http://www.speedbit.com/DAP7/DefaultLocal.asp? and click on Download link.

With DAP, you can download and pause your downloads. This is very good for downloading big files.

And if your download time is starting to finish, you can pause and restart later where you stopped.

What if your internet time runs out, Can you start off where you stopped after you've finshed using your computer and left it for a couple of days?

Yes, you can left it paused for many days, but if you have problems of time running out, it's recommended that when you are downloading, PAUSE it sometimes, because when time runs out and your download is paused, you can start where you stopped.

The only problem is when time runs out and you didn't paused it. When it happens, you have to reastart all again. But when your download is paused at the same moment that time runs out, you can continue your download later.

Thanks, Kikinho. I don't think that time running out in the middle of a download will be the biggest problem though, what happens if there is a dropout in the middle of a download? Will the download start again then?

Yes, but if you mantain it paused when the drop out happens, no.

Yes, but if you mantain it paused when the drop out happens, no. When you pause your download, the program threat the downloading file as if it were in the computer memory. So, if the drop out happen and the download is paused at the exact moment it happens, you won't have to restart all again.

Well, this worked for me when I still hadn't a broadband internet.

The most thing I liked in your system are the two giants and it's moons.
Your last image is interesting. It could be a world of vampires and rogues, or even demons, because this world have, I think, a dark pink or red atmosphere and a violet surface.

About Proxima Centaury System Add-on:
Could you show some pictures of your new Proxima Centaury system? You talked about it and very I'm curious. The new system will have better and more detailed graphics? The planets will be dark? That's because Proxima Centaury is a cool and dim star, and it's many times less luminous than Sun. How many planets and moons you estimate to put in your system?

If you answer these questions, you will help me a lot in creating more worlds to my Sheron'nish Cluster System.

The the last world shown on that post is a moon of Shebabeba. It may have some fish life, as the tidal pull of it's planet causes ice to melt anddthat's how it gets it's bluish colour, through the water on it's surface. As you can also see, there are a few islands sticking out of the water. These are brown and yellow in colour. The world get's it's atmosphere from it's parent planet, Shebabeba, as it's proximity enabled it to slowly grab some of it over time.


I have barely started my Proxima Centauri Solar System, currently I am half-way through my first planet. I'm not sure how many planets will be placed in this solar system, possibly 6-8 of them. 2-3 of them being gas giants, but this is very preliminary.

I will include more images. Of the first Proxima planet, and more of the Lera worlds.
