ASTAR.JPG is the only texture that shows for stars?
No bstar.jpg, gstar.jpg or mstar.jpg; Is this a bug?
Im using a FX5200 128ddr w-latest drivers.

This is to confirm Mark's error report:

Celestia v1.4.0pre5 displays astar.jpg and not display mstar.jpg when one goes to the star Mira. I replaced mstar.jpg by mars.jpg in both lores and hires folders. I replaced astar.jpg by moon.jpg in both lores and hires folders. I see lunar features when I visit Mira.

Celestia v1.3.2final does display mstar.jpg.

It's intentional. I haven't yet decided what to do with star textures. I don't think that using the mstar, bstar, and gstar textures is necessarily more realistic..
