A while ago Selden posted a "galactic lat/lon" grid add-on (I can't recall where it was. It's on his website somewhere) - but the only way to show it was to activate galaxies.
I'm just wondering if there's a possibility of incorporating that into a build of Celestia - say, by cycling through different grids when you press the : key. So first time you press :, you get the standard greenish RA/Dec grid, next time you press it you get the orange Galactic lat/lon grid, and then next time you press it you go back to no grid.
More Grids?

I recommend these graticules; once you activate the one you want, you can make some nice maps of interstellar space;
I particularly like the green one, which divides the galactic plane into light years and multiples thereof.
If they were incorporated into the basic package, it might make it easier to find one's way around...

You will find them here by the way.
