orbits visualization Question

Hi :
I am using celestia for visualizing the orbits of my fictional system.

1.- is there a way to display the orbital plane?2.- How one could visualize wheter the objects are moving closer or further from the observer.? I want to see all my orbits at the same time. The variation in the apparent size of the objects, with respect to the observer, has a negligible effect ( you can not see easely in which direction they are moving )

many thanks in advance,

Roberto,

1. Have you tried changing the speed of time within Celestia? (type L or K ) Watching the planits travel rapidly may help, since their sizes and phases will change quickly.

2. Have you tried defining extremely large, highly oblate objects -- planets as large as the orbit that are drawn as flat circles?
