Speed of Light

One thing has crossed my mind: Does Celestia take the speed of light in consideration when you e.g. are looking at the sun from, lets say, the earth? What I mean is, does it show the position of the sun eight minutes ago from here or does it show the "real" position of the sun?

If you select the object you want to look at and press the '-' key on the numeric keypad then the light travel time will be included.
Press '-' again to switch it off.

But it doesnt work for stars.... does it?

No it doesn't since Celestia doesn't simulate stars motion through space.

So when turned on and flying toward jupiter with an increasing speed i'd see the clouds move faster and faster? Well it doesn't. So i'm not really sure how this feature works.

Nope. You see the current time change as Celestia recalculates the light time delay as you get closer to the planet.
