Cel.v1.3.2pre11 & Billow lite: model display bug

While exploring the "lite" version of the Billow Sisters, I came across a bug in the display of translucent models.

Image

The left half shows the aerostat as it usually appears.
The right half shows its translucent shell becoming a black hole into the sky. It seems to happen when the viewpoint is looking up toward the zenith of the planet's atmosphere.

Here's a URL to display the blackness (briefly):

It's an alpha sorting problem . . . Translucent objects need to be rendered after everything else, but Celestia's depth sorting causes the planet and it's atmosphere to be rendered last. I'll see what I can do . . . These sorting problems are tricky.

I looked into this case some more, and I think that a fix will have to wait until the next version when I address atmosphere rendering in earnest. I could possibly come up with a hack to make it work now, but I'm concerned about breaking something else so close to 1.3.2.

Chris,

I think that's quite reasonable. The CMOD material confusion probably is a little more important, though. :)
