I just tested celestia (latest development snap) for windows on my sister's computer.
I think that it lacks some of the menu goodies present in the kde version, but sometimes the opposite is also true.
One nice feature that I noticed that's present in the windows version is that when I’m using the menus, celestia stops its engine to make the menus more responsive.
I think that this feature should be (if possible) implemented in the kde version.
Also, celestia/win/gui devs should look at the kde version to see how great the menus are
