Fantastic jestr! I have gotten quite a few of your worlds, but Bajor kept aborting during download on the other site, once at 81MB completed! On dialup! Grrr.... But I was finally able to get it, and want to thank you for another great piece of work!

Yes, a HUGE thanks to Jestr. This guy is a great creator and contributor to the Celestia and SF community. Because of him, I'm now having a big collection of very nice science-fiction spaceships, perfectly functionnal in Celestia. :D

FYI some of Jestr's zips were broken until a few minutes before this post. If you are having problems, please re-download. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ya, love 'em all. And this 'Motherlode' (what this word means???) is a GReat improvment for Celestia, many thanks to the authors!!!
So, seems to me that the 'BajorHires pack' is corrupted, and a wessel -'Battleship'- does not work in Cardassia pack (no mention in .ssc and .3ds bugged for me) If it can help, all works fine (not the '2kClouds.dds' but it's just my install..have you this stuff in .png format?)
Jeam, just little time to update little shots and pages: BCelestia B5, Rass' Fictionnal Systems...and some Jestr incredible worlds :-)

Jeam,

"Motherlode" or "mother lode" originated as a mining term:

Lode -- (Mining) A metallic vein; any regular vein or course, whether metallic or not.

Mother lode -- (Mining) the principal lode in a system

These days the term "mother lode" is used to indicate the primary and voluminous source of something desirable.

The term is part of popular culture in the U.S. probably because of the many stories and movies about the excitement of the "California gold rush" of 1849. I'll let you look that up. :)

Bonsoir Jeam,to answer your other questions-theres nothing special about
the 2kclouds.dds its just an Earth clouds texture,so use another PNG you have for Earth. The CardassiaBattleship model shouldnt be included (it just happened to be in that folder-and I wrote a Readme for it).It is actually the same ship as the Chintaka model (though without textures I think),it may be a different version of the Chintaka-but it looks much the same shape. The BajorhiresPNG file is corrupt,I have rezipped it and uploaded it again though it isnt in my ibiblio/creators/jestr directory yet.all the best Jestr

Hi Jestr,
The Bajor hires is corrupted once again, unfortunately. If you feel like uploading it again, will you please drop me a mail when you begin and when you finish? I check the incoming dir about once per day and I hope I am not corrupting it by transferring it before youa are done uploading or something. Let me know.

Cheers,

Joe

Thx a lot Selden: in fact, the Celestia 'Mother lod' is a 'vraie mine d'or' for all the Celestians! Jeam

OK Jestr, thanks.I thought that the ship was an adaptation from http://www.trekmeshes.ch/meshes/meshesdetails.php?Name=CARBATTLE a bit different of the Chintaka. Noted for the HireRes; i'll wait :-) and if your Clouds tex isn't a particular one i'll replace it by an Earth clouds. this ST Universe is a nice work, and the 2 packs release (Main Medres textures pack for all and Hires pack for who can dwl and run them) a good idea. O_O

Whoa. These are incredible. I have one question though. Where does Voyager start out, and does it move?

8O

Is Braxis (the moon of Quo'NoS) there? And if so, is it half-gone?

I didnt know Q'onos has a moon ,trying to research this I came across many different websites(some are linked through 'info' menu) often with conflicting information about star trek planets so some I put in and some I left out.
It isnt really possible to move a ship from one system to another so Voyager is on an elliptical orbit around the star Barzan sometimes close to the Barzan wormhole .Cheers Jestr

Have you ever seen Star Trek 6? That's when it blows up.

>_< I have to remember to log in... the last two guest posts were mine.

Anyway, the explosion of Braxis left a very large chasm going right through it. I just thought it would look kind of cool to have it in Celestia. If you want, I'll PM you the Star Trek Encyclopedia entry, along with a picture if I can find one.
