A question to Chris about 2002Mn and neo.scc

I have put the neo.scc in extra folder, open Celestia
and go to 2002MN next i put time back to 14/6/2002 but
till no getting that near miss pic on Celestia website.
Just see 2002MN and the Earth is no where in site.
Using Celestia 1.2.4.

I have a similar problem. I set the date to 14th June, go to 2002MN then select Earth and centre it, but all I see is the night side of the planet, not the dayside as shown on the website.

Why don't you try to watch the asteroid while you have reversed time with a time factor of 10 or 100 ??? Then you should get the look you want.

Thilo has the right idea . . . turn on time acceleration and watch the entire flyby in order to catch a view of the asteroid and the day side of the Earth.
