Well,I do exactly what the readme told me,change the solarsys.ssc and now when I try to open Celestia, that said Fatal Error "Cannot read star database" and I can?t use it at all.The stars.dat file and the starnames.dat are normal

Daniel:
I'm sorry to be a nag, but why on earth have you made this into a sticky topic? There's no reason this thread needs to be preserved indefinitely at the top of the list.

Check your Celestia config file ... from previous reading on the forum it seems that some of Frank's educational activities contain a reference to bigstars.dat instead of stars.dat. See this thread.

Danielj:

I have fixed the problem referenced in this post, and have removed all reference to bigstars.dat in my activities add-ons.

Please remove this sticky. It is no longer valid, is warning people of a problem that was corrected weeks ago, and is taking up inappropriate forum space.

Thanks

Frank

Daniel, you EDIT your FIRST post of this thread, and check the option "Post topic as : Normal" UNDER message body. That's all.
