Ok, I got this working. Problem is underneith it thiers a big hole in the shape, Same result when trying NCC 1701-D. Perhaps theirs a bug when using large 3ds meshes :|

Lots of 3ds models seem to have inconsistent triangle orientation. In these cases, the workaround is to duplicate all triangles in the model so that there's both a back and front facing version. Unfortunately, doubling the amount of geometry in a complex model makes it noticeably slower to render.
