Can you help me please? :?:
I searched in the forum, but I didn't find it, sorry.

Andrea,

I believe that your fellow Italian, Mario Rossi, had that texture on his
site at http://www.space-graphics.com prior to his site being
brought down by all of the people downloading the large textures.

If you look HERE you can find his 8k shaded relief map. Who knows? Ask Mario nicely, and I'll bet he'd let you have the 16k map as well.

Hope that helps.

Take care, Bob

Andrea,

You may be referring to my Mars shaded texture that I derived and recolorized from the Space-graphics site.. check this link:

praesepe,

I'm really interested in your Gliese 229 system with textures I saw on your slideshow. Can you share it ?

Also, what about Europa with reflection ? I really want it ! :)

Yes Praesepe, it's your one. :D
I have changed the file name in order to differentiate it from the VT textures, and with this I lost the link to your work.
Thank you again, it's very very nice. :D
And thanks to Bob Hegwood too for his kind suggestion.

Cham,

Those are unfinished projects that are somewhere in my hard disk now.. Now, I'm moving to the latest prerelease and also trying to sort all the stuff (If I only had some more time for Celestia...). Take note that the Gliese 229 system was fictional itself, only Gliese 229 and Gliese 229 b really exist... As I didn't finish it, I relased the brown dwarf texture with dark side glowing some time ago.

About the Europa texture, I didn't finish it at all, since It was derivated from the USGS source map which has lots of missing or low resolution data, and as far as I'm concerned, I think that I overexagerated the colours..

Dear Praesepe;

I too am glad Andrea asked the question about your Mars 16K texture. I am using your shaded texture for my Mars texture, because it has what I feel is the most accurate color and tint and its detail is great. The big 32K Mars VT texture that Brady made available is nice but is just too red. Also, its detail is not much crisper than your 16K texture. I love your work! Thanks for it.

What I am missing from my Mars is a set of wispy clouds. All of the cloud maps available on the forum for Mars do not seem to match up with the orientation of your 16K -shaded Mars. The clouds that are supposed to be over the big volcanic peaks of Olympus mons and others wind up in the wrong spot when I call them up in an ssc file.

Do you have a thin, wispy cloud texture that is properly oriented for your Mars texture?

Regards,

Frank
