Photoshop CS and DDS

Does the Nvidia DDS plug-in not work in Photoshop CS? I get a "Could not complete request because of a program error" message when I try to open DDS files now.

I've tried the plug-in from NVidia, but I'm using a Mac. The plug-in was made for the PC version, so it don't work at all for me. I got the same message as you.
"Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin", thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"

I'm using a PC. The plug-in used to work under older versions of Photoshop, but not since I upgraded to the CS version.

Kolano,

The message is caused by an somewhat erroreous implementation of the dds plugin. When photoshop encounters an internal out-of-memory-error, during an operation of the plugin you will see this message afterwards. You have to restart photoshop to clean things up.

If you want to avoid this error you have to use smaller textures, simpler dds-functions or more memory.

Ah, apparently Photoshop sets itself to only use 1/2 your memory. Fixed now, thanks Maxim.

I just pushed mine all the way to the top.

Unfortunatly I still can't open/save some of the DDS files I used to be able to. I can't seem to process files larger than 4096k square anymore, and I used to be able to do much larger images.

This is on a system with 1.5g Ram and a 9800.

And that should say, just 4096, or 4k above.

Man I wish we could deal with 4096k :~)
