I'm not sure if I already asked that question before, and I can't find the answer easily, so here it is anyway.
Is it possible to have bumpmap on an asteroid ? More generaly, can we have bumpmaps on a mesh, in Celestia ?
I guess the answer is no, but I need a confirmation.

Bump map on a mesh ?
"Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin", thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"

I hope it wont break the actual mesh format. I mean, will the next version of Celestia be able to use the old format as well as the new one ?
I guess the answer is yes, or it wont make any sense.
Do you have an approximate idea for the release date of the next version of Celestia, for Mac OS X ? I can't wait to have the preferences bugs corrected under OS X (Celestia is always forgetting most of my preferences settings after quiting it).
