I was playing with Blue Marble Earth virtual textures this week.. Someone send me a New York area picture last month from the internet and i try to insert it in Celestia... Lucky me i find on the net a satellite picture that show a bigger area around NewYork.. So i try doing a couple of level and well, it work very fine for me.. Strangely i was surprise and happy to be able to make 2048x2048 tile in size instead of 512x512 tile like for normal Blue marble earth.. (i have only a 64 megs video card) I was thinking that i have to do all the tiles in 512x512 or 130k in size.. So i was happy that Celestia can accept bigger file for bigger or sharpest image.. So for me to make for example a tile in level5 using an original big hires image.. I have bigger an original Blue Marble image by 400x and i have to resize the hires picture in height and width to match the original -borders- so it fit well for Celestia.. Anyway, in some way i save the time to find all the good tx_numbers for level10 since my level9 2048x2048 image is in hires..

P.S. i have also make some more about the Quebec-Montreal-Gaspe and more area.. It is another zip file.. See this photo at about 600km of distance..
P.S. Tonight, i will surely complete a last one for fun, it is a 1 and only level5 file of 2048x2048 image about Egypt and Middle-East area.. This one can be zoom until 250km for best details..
Well.. I think it will be my last one for the week or month..
I have the time to do them this week because of holiday time.. but i have time to accept any direct download..

P.S.2. About telling about copyright images.. I am not an expert on this so i can only tell that i use pictures that come from the web on the visibleearth.nasa.gov web site.. Hope it is enough..
