I've just downloaded and installed 1.3.2 pre 1, and everything seemed to work fine until I tried to view the orbits of planets, moons, spacecraft and comets. Celestia then freezes and eventually crashes.
Anyone else with this problem ?

Same issue - only with spacecraft orbits
Just thought I'd confirm that same issue happening with my installation. It only happens when I activate spacecraft orbits, though - others seem to work correctly. Not sure what the difference would be with items categorized as spacecraft, but I've tried disabling all spacecraft related data, and same issue applies.

Chris,
Just did the same thing on my Windows XP machine. Only problem occurred when I tried to display spacecraft orbits. My machine came unglued and I had to power off the system to get it back up and running again.
If there's a fix, where can we get it please? Is this a new version? i.e. - 1.3.2 Pre2?
Just thought I'd ask.
Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,
Currently, this would be a CVS-available fix, where you download and compile the source code on your machine. All CVS code is normally available as a binary (.exe file) in the next "official" pre or final release of Celestia.
This is one BIG advantage that Unix/Linux users have over us Windows users -- their OSs come with good compilers, for free, so they can download and compile any time! That's nice.
Cheers,
-Don G.

Okay,
Thanks for the info, Don. I didn't know that there was a difference.
Man... The things one can learn here. I'm getting a headache!
Take care, Bob
