Hello CELESTIA&team long time no see!

Love the work on CELESTIA 1-3-1 but there are some "problems" that still waren't fixed:

1) When i turn on the CELESTIA full screen mode the refresh rate of my adapter jumps from 100Hz to 60 Hz and i can't do enithing about it :x (i am using Win 2k and my video card is an gforce 3 ti 200 the monitor is Fujitsu siemens 21P2), in oll my OpenGL programs never happend!
2) What abaut triing to render first the planets then the orbits of spacrafts that are nearby planets so that the orbit won't dissapier in front of planets!
3) The start script is not visible when CELESTIA has to load an large amount of data so what about starting the idle functions after the load is compleated!

Ok that's about all!

Thanks for this wanderfull program!
Interesting Projects:
Celestia an open source space simulator.

Ok that's about all!

Thanks for this splendid program!

Hi xyz,

Does the thread at http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2910 help at all?

Does this really mean we can see the startup script again, no matter how much addons we've installed? No more weird assumptions when trying to syncronize with external programs? I've waited for aeons to get that!

BTW: may I ask for another small enhancement (please please please please please) - the possiblity to put the extras dir onto another disk. :D

It works for me on Linux, and I can't think of a reason why it should be different on other OS. And you get to see the Celestia-Logo again too, I had completely forgotten it exists.

That would be nice, at least for OS that don't support symbolic links  Unfortunately I know next to nothing about the code for that, so I can't say if it would be easy to change. :(

Ooops 8O , that reminds me that NTFS should support that.

Did you download the recommended program (see quote below)?
Does the program run on your system?

Kendrix wrote:If you have a NVidia card it's a driver bug that is present since too much time !

In latest drivers you can fix refresh rate for D3D programs but not for OpenGL ones !

Download the wonderfull "NVRefreshTool" to be able to set refresh rates even in OpenGL modes.

If you still have problems, hopefully one of the Developers will be able to help.
