Something I just noticed today after upgrading to 1.3.1 final.
When I have location labels turned on, and I enter Multi-view. I get a weird effect, where it's like a disk about 2/3 the radius of the planet is covering the labels, and making them invisible. A screenshot to demonstrate:
Notice how the "Madrid", "Rome" and "Bucharest" are all partially covered in a curve which extends to also cover part of the "E" in "EURASIA".
On Mars, parts of "Acidalia Planitia", "Cassini", and "Chryse Planitia" are covered, in the same sort of curve.
Anyone else experience this...?
This is using a fresh install of 1.3.1final, Win98SE, GeForce4 MX440
//edit - for some reason I put 1.3.0 instead of 1.3.1 - d'oh!
Multiview + Locations in 1.3.1 final

Jack:
I believe you are seeing the same thing I reported in today's earlier "disappearing location labels" post in the same forum.
I saw this behavior both with 1.3.1 pre-11 and 1.3.1 final.
In my case, I did not have to split the screen to see the behavior. Just zooming in a certain amount exhibits the problem. In your example, if you zoom in and out, do you see the circle of vanishing labels expand/contract, respectively?

Nope, mine only happens in Multiview, and it always stays at the same distance, 2/3 of the radius out from the planet... Weird...
Ok I just tested it on 1.3.1pre11, and the same thing happens there too- but what's REALLY weird is this: the invisible circle only appears if the screen is split in two like so:
If I split one side again, like
All the locations are visible in frames x and z! y remains the same.
Splitting like
Shows locations fine in all 4, and evrything is fine if you start like
as well.
Anyone else experience something similar...?

You can trigger this bug without splitting the view by reducing the width/height ratio. Try making the window tall and narrow, you'll see the 'occulting' disc grow from the center of the body to the full size of it.
