The Horror of Microsatan

Post #1by Rassilon » 08.12.2003, 04:57

Yes folks the horror continues... Bill Goats has won and evil prevails in the land...All the computer users have fled the world because of the Empires great takeover...and so have I....

I have once again changed operating systems due to a problem with XP I was having back to Windows 2000....And you know what...3d Studio Max will no longer save files...It corrupts them when saving...

When you were in school studying to be a programmer...would the teacher tell you to sell the class project if it had bugs in it? If he did he must have been at the Microsoft Colledge of Education...

Its ok lad just release fifteen patches and you'll get it right...

Unfortunately the patch doesnt seem to be the issue here...since everywhere I read in the net on this is states its users with service pack 4 with the Hot Fix 90210 or whatever...Well I have service pack 2 and no hot fix is listed in my add/remove programs under the numbers they specified...soooooooooo I uninstall service pack 2 thinking its INSIDE the bloody thing....nope didnt change a thing....Good possibility its attached itself to my systems folder like white on rice...

Hey isnt that why they invented uninstall logs? no? oh thier just for taking up space...*makes note*

*looks up and sees an error log being generated as I type this post*

So where can I get a good 3d program for making models on Linux?
I'm trying to teach the cavemen how to play scrabble, its uphill work. The only word they know is Uhh and they dont know how to spell it!

I feel your pain. That is, I felt. All Linux now!

I'd start with blender (http://www.blender3d.org/). There's also wings3d (http://www.wings3d.com/). I haven't tried it yet, but it looks a little easier to use than blender. Hope these links help! :D

I saw the title and was intrigued, expecting that 'Microsatan' was the name of your latest Celestia add-on. :)

Anyhow, sorry to hear about your OS woes . . .

Nah chris its just another problem I have to face...just feels good to let off steam is all I suppose...

And Blender looks very nice fix or no fix...I might just drop 3d studio all together...
