nightside textures on 3ds models

I hope this is the best place to ask this,

I have just downloaded a few space station models and I wanted to add a nightside texture to them (portholes, navigation lights, etc) but I don't seem to be having any success.

For example
"Santiago Habitat" "SIG dra/Alrakis/Deigo Habitat"
{
Mesh "Borgsphere.3ds"
Texture "city.png"
NightTexture "citynight.bmp"
Radius 2

etc....
{
I thought this would work but it didn't :(

Any ideas?

Night textures don't work on anything but spheres right now . . . Some method creating light emitting surfaces on 3DS models will be supported in the next version of Celestia.
