Well said, Paul!!!

Don's work shows he takes a real joy in the accuracy and subtlety of what he produces...

Beautiful work, Don :D

Hi
could I suggest to decrease the size of the pictures you attach to your mails?
The problem is the following: at office I have a very fast connection but our firewall blocks every access to this forum. :(
So once a day, in the morning, I must use my notebook internal modem  , obviously sloooooooow.
So when I enter the forum and jump to Celestia Textures items (to which I am veeeeeery interested) it takes a very long time just to open the pages.

IMHO I think that it could be better to attach a link to the pictures...

Thanks a lot for your great job! 8O :D

I already addressed this problem before. I have resized all my new pictures to only 800x... wide versus the usaul 1280x...
I to am on a dail-up 56k modem at this time and it doesn't take forever for my download conection to load the pictures. And no they are not cached on my system as my internet cache is purged each time it reboot my system.
Sorry but any amaller and you just can't see the detail.

Don,

A suggestion:

If you include a thumbnail in the post which links to the large image, then it'll save a lot of time and network charges for people with slow links or who pay by the byte. This would let people read new postings quickly, get a vague idea of what the new pictures look like, and still let them examine the new pictures in detail.

Here's the posting code that I use:

Code: Select all

e.g.

Code: Select all

which looks like
