Celestia needs a cam pluggin !!!!!

I use celestia while chatting on line and people want to see how im making the neat space pictures. So I turn my cam on and point it at the screen to show them how celestia works. Can anyone out there program a cam plugin so that my pc finds a cam on when celestia is running. Not being a programer I have no clue how to make such a plugin but it seems to me that it would be a rather simple task of converting screensizes to say yahoos large cam screen size, adding what ever drivers windows uses for cams. With such a plugin you could have a celestia web cam site as well.
Please let me know if there are any plugins like this out there or if any of you want to write one. I sure have a need for it. Taping my cam to a stick pointed at my screen sure doesnt get it

why dont you just use celestia's built in capture screen/ capture movie function?

It is limited and buggy <sigh>. The old 2 GB limit trashes AVI files, there are red lines at the top of the capture, the capture resizes the viewport instead of the video, you need to capture to a compressed format to get anything more than a couple of minutes, etc.

Well I came up with a hardware solution to do what I wanted to do. I had an old winnTV board that had an Svideo input jack and then used the svideo out on my video card to turn my on screen TV into a second moniter. Once I had set the channel in the TV veiwer set I could close the veiwer and then open yahoo and just select a the winTV board as the cam source. Then just run celestia on my desktop in the main monitor. Of course the veiwer of the cam sees everything that going on on my screen in their cam. so if I wanted to have a cam sourse dedicated to celestia iI would had a second pci video card to have a screen to type my messages in. Any with this i have been able to show friends celestia with out them having to download it and get some of them interested in it.
