On http://www.nefkom.net/z-bau/celestia you can now find a 4k texture of the political world of 2003. Sorry, but I don't remember where I got the original data from :?: - a public cia website perhaps - but I'm quite not shure.

And a reminder that if you want to overlay the political borders on an existing texture, I have a virtual overlay texture at: http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/hutchison/borders.html. The virtual format allows you to zoom in to high resolution in areas where there is small detail - to see small countries like Monaco and San Marino, or to look at complex borders like those surrounding the various Central Asian enclaves.

Your impact craters file is named wrong. You have it linked to a "ssc" file, but it is on your server as a "zip".
