I am searching for 8k clouds. The only one I knew was in Don Parker?s 8k package. But he retired these textures.Someone can suggest where can I find one, since is a bit strange a 16 k texture with 4k clouds?

you haveto have a realy fast vidio card (G-Force FX5900 Like mine should work  ) to have 8k clouds, otherwise celestia will just scale the texture down to 2k, or 4k.

Not true. 8k clouds are simply not supported in Celestia in its present form. This is a well known fact amongst most of the texture artist in the forum. The cloud texture limit is 4k at this time. You can plug in an 8k cloud texture but it is being resized to 4k and is slowing Celestia down. Just stick to 4k clouds and save Celestia the work of the resizing.
Now if Chris has augmented this feature in Celestia I sure would like to have be told about it as I have an 8k versions of my cloud textures waiting in the wings.

By the way... where can I get a 4k cloud texture. I presently have a 2kx2k dds texture of earth's clouds. P.S. is it normal that the blank spaces between the clouds should be (light-)blue (cause that's what I'm seeing in Photoshop)? those blue spaces change the color of earth.
