Howdy Bob,

COOL! Thanks Bob. :D

No, but the Distance calculation has changed. There are no longer Altitude and Distance values. Chris is using only Distance (from the surface), where Altitude used to be distance from the center of the object. This is probably why Christoria's calcs don't work for 1.3.0.

Bob Hegwood wrote:On 1.3.0, I had to change a number of the distance values in order to arrive at the correct 2 million miles away.

See above -- plus, some of the values in the original script were not exact, but close, for 1.3.1 p11. For example, Christoria used 819 for Mercury, which resulted in a distance of 1,995,900 km. To get 2 million exactly, I use 820.688.

By the way, you were correct about using "cloudmaps" in renderflags. It's the same in 1.3.1.

Hope this helps.

Thanks again for posting a 1.3.0 version for everyone! :D

Currently, I'm working on a 1.3.1 pre11 version that is a bit more spicy. :)

Howdy Christoria,

Maybe days ... maybe a week or so. Can't tell for sure right now. Lots going on. Will know more by tomorrow (Thu) night.

Howdy Gang,

Just a quick update ... I'm still working on fancying up this script. Have about 12 or 14 hours into it now, and am maybe 30-40% done with where I want to take it. Doing a little bit each day ... more later!

Howdy Everyone,

The modified script is now ready. I started a new topic so bugs can be fixed as reported...

Don,

Do you think you could make it available on your Web site?
Or have you already?

Cutting and pasting such a long script can be somewhat difficult.

Thanks!

Howdy Selden,

I was going to do that once the script was tested by others, but went ahead and did it now. See URLs in the new topic.

Thanks,

-Don G.
