M* Galaxies

Post #1by christoria » 09.11.2003, 05:45

Hello,

Question: Whenever I look at an "M*" galaxy, it shows two or three of the rendered planes at different angles. I thought I had more than one reference to them, but found only one. It only seems to happen with "M" galaxies. Does anybody else have this problem? How can I fix it?

Thank you,

Actually I think this is a question for seldon or Grant, but I'll give it a go.
Sometimes the M (Messier) catalog names have alternates listed under the NGC or Hipparcos names . See if your M Galaxies also have these corresponding names. That would possibly duplicate their images.:|
Hi guys. Listen, they're telling me the uh,
generators won't take it, the ship is breaking apart and all that. Just, FYI.

Thanks Tech Sgt. Chen - I found the problem. I had two to FOUR - yup, FOUR - references to these galaxies hidden in "other" files. Cleaned it all up and it works great now.

Thank you,

christoria
