Another face on mars

I came accross this face while browsing my 64kNormalMap + 16k FlatMars textures.

Image
It's in the Nicholson crator by the way. He's a scary lookin dude who ever he is! Looks abit like George Hooke-an irish guy(maybe jack knows him-the rugby analyst?)

Is this one of those picture where you have to squint your eyes real tight,
and you may just see dolphins or a unicorn.... :D

I can't seem to be able to see any face

I have always beem one of the small minority of people who just cannot see any of these pictures made out of pixels or dots...

Paul,

The face is in profile, facing toward your left, with a gigantic, protruding chin.

The 3d spot images are essentially impossible to see if the spacing between your eyes doesn't match the spacing between the two images. I have the impression that the people who create many of them intentionally make them difficult by leaving out two black dots to help with eyeball alignment. On the pictures that have those two dots, you relax your eyes (look into the distance) until the dots come together as one. (This step is hard enough by itself.) Then the 3D images pop out at you.

Well, of course it really just looks like a potato, but you don't think anybody would admit that do you? ;)

OH MY GOD...

How could I have forgotten this...Last year I was on the school quiz team, and we won a general knowledge quiz for charity- for this we got an award from the school! The token celebrity for the night was...

George Hooke! :D

I actually have a photo of him standing with us getting our awards...! (He looks even scarier in that than he does in the other pic I posted...)

My face looks a lot happier then it should, but I did it in 15 seconds so hey... :D I just did the "outline" in the real pic there are shadows that look like cheekbones & a really huge chin - still gives you the idea though!

This is hilarious!

I think you've been very kind regarding the profile of Mr Hookes nose in your sketch Jack. It looks as if it's taken a bit of a battering in that crater image, and is a little bit closer to his face!!!

BTW what are the longitude / latitude co-ords for Hooke's....sorry!, The Nicholson crater ?

He looks a bit better after a couple of ESBs...I don't think I would like to stand at the bar with him though!

I'm sure I've met him somewhere?

Ah no... :) We are talking about a crater on Mars, so it's still space-related- sort of...
