When ever i try to install an addon for nebulas or galaxies, the textures dont apear on the objects. This is what usually happens:

Problem with Nebula and galaxy add ons
Two possibilities:
-You are using an old version of Celestia. Deep Space objects were not available until pre-1.3.0 versions. Check if you have 1.2.5 or older versions.
-Your graphics hardware lacks the capabilities for displaying certain objects. This is what happens with some of my machines. Tell us your OpenGL info and all what you can say about your hardware.
