yesterday was the highest level of elongation for the orbit of mercury as viewed from earth. it was visible where i live after 6:30pm.

I've seen Mercury with my own eyes all of once in my lifetime. And that was last fall. By the way, where is Venus?

it seems like an extraordinarlly long time since I saw Venus, got me to wondering where it might be hiding out.
