I am used to forums with darker background and themes and this forum is sometimes giving me a pain in the eyes.

I am asking chris if he could find some more themes, or even better, zip a copy of all graphics involved in this forum (interface) and post it for download. MAybe someone could create a genuine Celestia theme. I would at least modify it and create a darker theme... Then chris could upload those he likes :-)...
.. BTW I really enjoyed those CD covers...

Has a built-in theme creator.
If some people created some themes it would be nice or if cris downloaded some.
It would be really cool to have a different them each month.

Each month? I wasn't thinking that "complex" ;-)...
I just thought that we, Celestians, could create a nice, dark space-based theme featuring the planets of our solar System :-)...

What I'd like to see is an NNTP interface, Web forums are sub-optimal.

There is a module that offers an NNTP<->phpBB gateway but it's apparently still in beta.

That's something i've thought would be handy for a long time too... It's very annoying when IE crashes after I login sometimes, and when I get back in all the markers for new posts & replies have dissapeared... :(

Even if that's not possible a space theme would be nice!

I have payed a visit to the phpbb.com and I found a downloadable skin (this one) which could be modified to suit our needs but it's all i one PSD (photoshop) file, not cutted or similar. Does the Forums cuts them automaticly?

I don't know if they do.
I haven't added a theme to my forum before, so i don't know about downloadable themes.
I know you can design them through the forums interface by typing in colours in Hexi-decimal code for borders, frames, windows etc.
The phpbb website probably has a tutorial.
I wonder if the fully modded site is back up, i better go check, they have nice options.

I second this wish. Accessing a web forum with a dial-up modem connection is as exciting as using a 16 MHz 386 PC for running Celestia.
