AstroBoy, is it possible for you to make the galaxy edge merge a bit more in the black of the space? Actually it gives (this is my opinion, clearly) the impression of an elliptically cut photograph put on the black background.
I think that with a little smoothing of the edges the results should be outstanding. What do you think?

I think that with a little smoothing of the edges the results should be outstanding.
In fact, this galaxy is a 3D model and not a flat model (like Helix), so smoothing the edge is not possible nor making them tranparent as the transparency effet isn't very beautifull.
So I'll probably darkened a litlle bit the texture...
