Yes, that's why I haven't made a comment until now. Unfortunately, when there is more than one of these "attention addicts" gathered together, they can waste enough space talking to each other that it becomes a problem for the rest of us. You then see the problem inherent with the "multiple personality" disorder of Mr. Collective, where he can give himself attention.

In this case an entire thread was created for the sole purpose of being off topic and I just couldn't take it anymore. We had a similar problem with another young member of the boards a while back. After being confronted, their behavior improved. I'm hoping against hope that this will be the case with the new additions to the community. As I said, I'm against elitism. I just want there to be some sense of order.

I hope "the collective" will be posting all borg related communications
an trekuniverse network. I have him a link he went there and registered.
Though he hasn't posted, even gave him 5000 points out of generosity from my stock pile of tens of thousands.i used to go there but got bored and so many posts.

P.S. Chris delete/lock this thread please!

I too share a bit of the fictional as a sense of creativity...In the way I portray myself online and sometimes even in real life...Its not always prudent to share ones true idenity and nature with complete strangers...but also the balance must be maintained...in all things...

I suppose myself also being a purist of Celestia can relate to some of whats being said in this thread...but lets not be discouraged by difference in ideas opinions or even 'realities'...but in all things balance is needed...this means that we all must return to our responsibilities in life no matter how dreary...lets not make it too 'real' here...This is for some an escape from the everday...

But it is also a place of progression and knowledge...

We all know where our balance lies...
I'm trying to teach the cavemen how to play scrabble, its uphill work. The only word they know is Uhh and they dont know how to spell it!

Well I will chime in here. I too feel that this is just carrying things to far. If he wants to have conversations about the "Borg" then go somewhere that it is a relevant subject or start your own forum. The Celestia forum is not for this purpose. It for dealing with CELESTIA and all things relate to Celestia. The Borg have NO relation Celestia. So just drop this now before a whole new flame war gets started.

Chris please consider at least locking this thread down. It doesn't need any of our attention and its a complete waste of forum/server space that can be used for relative information.

Fridger and abiogenesis I am with you 100% on this. Taking a subject slightly off topic is one thing but trying too totally redirect a section of the forum is just going to far.

Don.
I am officially a retired member.
I might answer a PM or a post if its relevant to something.

Ah, never say never!!
Past texture releases, Hmm let me think about it

Thanks for your understanding.
