COCK-PIT Add-On
We are working on a "cock-pit" add-on for Celestia.
However, we do not posses any graphics of these.
Could anyone supply us with the graphic required?

What am I doing? Ah, nothing much. Just laying on my bed, watching the stars, and sky, and keep asking myself: 'Where the Hell is my Roof?'.
You could "assimilate" the Flightgear project, which owns several graphics of that type:

What about a StarCruiser Cessna?

How dare you;-) Can you imagine the Borg flying Cessna's?? There is a much better one in flightgear. It's called X15, I guess. Just the right thing for these "dangerous" guys. Actually, the X15 can only start but not land;-)

Those images are not bad but not suited for Celestia enough.
Could you try to design your own? It does not need to be a graphic masterpiece, a simple Paint picture would be sufficient. We need to know what buttons should be included on the control panel, panel's size, position and roughly the shape.

OK, here is how my X15 acts in my flightgear simulator for Linux:
Bye Fridger
1) My X15 shooting into the sky over San Francisco with Mach 6...
2) The X15 cockpit only has the essential instruments so far. I am just trying to fly a curve with > Mach 3 which is not tooooo easy...

here you have. this are jpg textures. the original ones are bmp and with beter resolution. if you want to assimilate them, then ask for them.
in different files i also have switches for those panels. if you want them ask for them again.

Are those Black rectangular areas supposed to be windows?

Borg,
No, those are full-color active-matrix multi-function display panels. The buttons along the side determine what's shown on them. They've replaced most of the mechanical displays used in older aircraft. They're standard in the "glass cockpits" of most modern commercial and military aircraft and in manned spacecraft (i.e. the shuttle). See, for example, http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/spacenews/factsheets/pdfs/meds.PDF

The commercial sim X-Plane (http://www.x-plane.com/) includes a X-15, and I think it includes a cockpit. It's great fun, dropping from the wing of a B-52 and going up to ridicolous speeds... shame it costs so much!
