Someone Shoot Me! I can't stay Away!

Post #1by Don. Edwards » 09.06.2003, 13:18

Well I managed to hold out for a whole four days. But I started playing around with what was left of my websites after I deleted everything, what a dumb idea that was. So I guess I will make it official and say I am back, sort of. I am still going to try and stand back from the forum some and take a more mellow approach to dealing with things as they crop up.
The time away has afforded me time to finish the last of the NASA mars project and to start another one.
I will eventually have all of my downloads available again. I am going to have to figure a way to replace a few. As I was trying to back-up what was on the server it seems I managed to corrupt most if not all the images and zip files. Luckily I had backups to almost everything. But allot of my older posts are going to have blank images in them until I find the proper picture to plug back in or find another alternative.
And Fridger if you are out there. No hard feelings. Let’s just get a fresh start.
I say we call it day one as of now.

Don.

P.S.
The Celestia Hub is up and running by the way.
Check it out at http://63.224.48.65/~impulse/Hub/Celestia_Hub.html
I am officially a retired member.
I might answer a PM or a post if its relevant to something.

Ah, never say never!!
Past texture releases, Hmm let me think about it

Thanks for your understanding.

It was evil to remove them.

Your work is more valuable than your pride. Keep the faith and everything else will fall into place. Contention will always take away from the spirit of what you create. I would hate for anyone with talent to walk away from the greatest spiritual tool since the Holy Grail 8)!!

I suppose its possible to be somewhat like Rassilon but for me to fill his shoes it is not my place.

I have seen many posts here and there in the forum that have his certain flair to them. He said he was never really going to leave totaly but had to go off into the background for a time. I respect his decision and I know that he is out there keeping an eye on us. I could be wrong but as I said, I have read posts that just have that certain good old Rass feel to them. It makes me feel at home here even if he isn't signing his name. Those of us who know him well will always be able to tell when he makes a post. Well I will not say anymore. Just that we know your there Rass or whatever you want to call yourself now and we often think of you. So you are always welcome to drop in and give us your words of wisdom. We the regulars will always know who it is deep down inside and that will always make us smile. I know it does me. :D

I totally agree with that!! I really loved the way the README of Rosetta Nebula was written, and I'll always remember his last words there, as they were expressing my feelings too.

I will keep the spirit that was Rassilon alive to the best of my ability. I suppose the best answer to where is Rassilon and when will he return. He will never. I suppose the holder of those spiritual keys of creation have passed on to me. I wouldnt want to take away from what Rassilon was, I only wish to continue the calling as pre-ordained by God.
