problem with distances od Stars?????

When I go to any star I notice that the distances are wrong.
What i mean is when you go to the surface of any star. I see
2 millon or 3 million KM when I am on the surface. Is this a Bug?
Is any one else having this problem?

It's the distance to the centre of the star.
