Alternate Textures needed to be structured like this
I know how to write them, I checked out a tutorial. I just think the way I want to do it isn't possible. As I'm not sure if you can change atmosphere cloud maps with an alt surface texture.

Unfortunately it is not possible to define alternative textures for cloud maps.

Two planets discovered by TESS
Explore two different worlds confirmed by TESS

TOI_3757_b.png

TOI-3757 b is a Jupiter-sized world with a density similar to that of a marshmallow

TOI-3757 is a red dwarf located about 590.76 light-years away from the solar system. the star has a gas giant inflated to about 12 Earth Radii in size that completes an orbit every 4.5 days. With a mass of 85.3 Earth Masses, it has a really low density, akin to that of a marshmallow. The star is also notable for the fact this its metallicity is similar to the Sun's.

GJ 1252
a red dwarf host to a hot, airless world

gj_1252_b.png
GJ 1252 b is a hot and dry super-earth with little to no atmosphere, based on observations from Spitzer

GJ 1252, aka TOI-1078, is a red dwarf located about 66.41 lightyears from the solar system. the star is host to a single hot, dead super-Earth (b= 1.193 Re, 1.32 Me). Observations from Spitzer, prior to it shutting down, determined that planet did not have a thick envelop and constrains any potential atmosphere to being no larger than about 1 bar of pressure. JWST can constrain this further should it ever look at this system.

(Can't quote messages well on my phone so this is in reply to Gironde's BumpMap statement.)

The second BumpMap, in the clouds, could actually be done by using CloudNormalMap instead of just BumpMap.

TOI-700 e (Alternate Surface)
2023's first confirmed exoplanet

TOI-700_e.png

- TOI-700 e, the fourth confirmed exoplanet orbiting TOI-700

Okay, I know this planet already exists here. However, I and Gurren made our textures around the same time. (Thanks to him for letting me modify his .ssc file for this) So, I decided to just post mine as an alt surface to his.

*THIS ADDON REQUIRES BOTH GURREN's TOI-700 e ADDON AND SEVENSPHERES TOI-700 ADDON TO WORK PROPERLY*

The texture was made by me, but heavily inspired by the rendering of this planet made by Robert Hurt for NASA

The three planets of Kepler-174

Kepler-174, aka KOI-518, is a K-type dwarf star located about 1,254.32 lightyears from the solar system. The star hosts three planets: two mini-Neptunes (b= 2.349 Re, d=2.572 Re) and a super-Earth (c= 1.752), the outermost planet (d) orbits within the star's habitable zone. The masses of the planets are not known.

Just so everyone knows, planetary systems with new addons or updated textures that have been released in the Nearby Exoplanets thread over the last several months include Epsilon Indi, 61 Virginis, Gliese 367, and Gliese 680. Addons for nearby systems that have been posted here are all included there as well, sometimes with changes and improvements made. (A few systems are still missing download links, generally since I intend to rework them and haven't done so yet.)

HD 147513
An underrated system

HD 147513 is a wide binary system consisting of a G-type star and a white dwarf, 42 light-years away. The primary star hosts a gas giant planet on a somewhat eccentric orbit within the habitable zone. The system seems to be fairly young, with an age of less than a billion years. It's one of just a few systems known to have both white dwarfs and planets.

For some reason though, there have been few studies of this system since the discovery of the planet in 2003, and the planetary parameters have never been updated. This does make me wonder if it might be a false positive, but at the moment it's considered a confirmed planet and I haven't seen anything that would cast doubt on it.

A fictional rocky moon with small bodies of water on its surface is included in a separate download.

Kepler-999
Just a hot mini-Neptune

Kepler-999 b is an exoplanet orbiting the star Kepler-999, located 1,778 light-years away from Earth. It was discovered in 2016. Its orbital period is approximately 6 Earth days. Its radius indicates that it is possibly a mini-Neptune.
