Post #1by dweigandt » 08.11.2022, 23:51

I was trying to install Celestia using the commands from https://celestia.space/deb.html but the path https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/ ... table/Ubuntu_18.04/Release.key is no longer available

the current linux download guides are very outdated. if onetwothree actually approves my pull request, you should see more up-to-date information soon. for now, i would recommend reading the INSTALL.md file

I followed the instructions on INSTALL.md, section: "On Ubuntu 18.04/20.04 and derived systems:". But the resource on https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/ ... table/Ubuntu_18.04/Release.key is no longer available.

looks like download.opensuse.org has straight up reworked the layout and directories of their website. have you checked your distro's app store?

edit: i think i found where the files moved to. try this url

I downloaded the AppImage but when I run it I get the error: "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29' not found". Maybe the AppImage is not for ubuntu 18.07.

@dweigandt, my pull request for updating the instructions was merged. this means you should now see the proper, actually accurate information on the download page!
