that hubble image, hubble is created to take images like that, so those features are real in the hubble image (just being viewed at a different light wavelength)

but this.... all i see is a bunch of color noise

This is not an argument, it is more like a witch-hunt to get even (as in Discord), because I won't share my half-baked textures with everybody.

This has nothing to do with the fact that you never share your textures. No one brought that up here or on Discord. Just end the drama already.

Uranus IR texture 16k (using Snowfall The Cat's base texture from here: https://www.deviantart.com/snowfall-the-cat/art/Uranus-near-IR-map-576398828 ):

Uranus, once thought to be a featureless world, turns out to be incredibly rich and diverse. This turquoise world holds a number of mysteries that are suggestive of a complex, internal structure beneath the easily-observable upper atmosphere. So long as there's an energy difference, either between the polar hemispheres or between the day-and-night sides, there will surely be interesting phenomena to investigate. The case for a dedicated mission to Uranus has never been stronger.

Added after 3 minutes 5 seconds:
I think we should change the planet's texture, because it is the outermost METHANE HAZE CLOUD texture, which is boring, and now we know (because of IR images) the main features under the 1% thick outer methane layer.

We need a haze cloud texture and a different "surface" cloud texture.

Added after 5 hours 37 minutes:
When the Voyager 2 spacecraft flew past Uranus in 1986, it was solstice: the side illuminated by the Sun was one of Uranus' polar regions.

If we use an alpha channel cloud texture to simulate the methane outermost layer, and we use an IR map below that, we can simulate the Hubble images, which show a much richer atmosphere.

The monochrome haze of the polar regions is the same, so there is no conflict between the Voyager and Hubble data in this case:

You would see clouds, as the Voyager image also contains visible clouds:

I have to calibrate the color and the light, this is just a preview.

true, but they would be very faint as in the voyager image, and considering that uranus IRL is darker due to being so far, its going to take a bit of looking to find them

A realistic, two layered (alpha cloud-IR surface) texture should look like this:

Neptune from upscaled NASA model texture. I think this NASA texture is the best one currently.

Nearby Neptune analogue Lalande 21185 c. These kind of planets seem to be common, often being in systems with inner warm/hot (super-)terrestrial planets; the Proxima Centauri and Gliese 15 systems are other nearby examples.
