Acrylic Pour Gas Giants

Post #1by MrSpace43 » 22.12.2021, 22:53

So about a few months ago, I wanted to see if I can make realistic-looking gas giants, and after seeing some replies by cubicApocolypse on the Celestia Discord server, I thought I'd try using acrylic cellular pour textures to make gas giants. The results are amazing, and the textures really make these giant planets look so much more realistic than many computer-generated gas planet textures.

I found some acrylic pour textures on the internet and decided to do a few test with them on a few planets, and here are the outcomes:

Laurentum (a new planet for another fictional system I am working on)

Unfortunately, there aren't many acrylic pour textures out there that look a lot like gas giants, so I want to see if I can make some of my own acrylic pour textures sometime in the future, and use them for some of the planets in the Onis system.
