Is there any upgrade to Celestia?
Hello! I have a question: is there any upgrade to planets, moons etc. in terms of new parameters of orbits, rotations? I am asking for links. I am asking you very much. I will be grateful.

Updated parameters for many objects can be found in Celestia Origin, or in the GitHub repository. However, most of the major objects of the Solar System have hard-coded orbits based on the VSOP87 model, which have not been updated (I don't think we currently have anyone with the knowledge to do so). The next release of Celestia Origin will include trajectory files that will make the planets' orbits more accurate.

Hello, you could look onto the List of Celestia add-ons for the overview of mods, which also includes orbital upgrades to planets and moons you like

i use the SPICE kernels for the planetary and moon orbits
but it is a bit complex to set up
i had a tutorial over on a now defunct web site
www.celestialmatters.org
on the web archive ( i think this snapshot works )
https://web.archive.org/web/20170720104932/http:/ ... cd7aaeb399c17fa13daa5894566cd5
i will need to recreate the tutorial on this site sometime and update the kernels used

I have questions about editing.
How to change the colors of the orbits? How do I add rings to an object?

To change the color of an object's orbit, add OrbitColor [ R G B ] to its ssc definition. To add rings, use a "Rings" block with three parameters (Inner, Outer, and Texture) - look at Saturn's ssc definition for an example.
