Just a bit of fun really...I can do no more with this spec texture untill I can get the dds plug-in to work. At the moment it's an 8k spec map - I suspect to look any better it should be at least 16k! It should be a lot finer.
Of course it's only suitable for low altitude views.

It looks a bit choppy down there!

It does have a rather relaxing and hypnotic effect - honest!

As we speak, t00fri is working away in his secret bunker deep in the forests of Germany creating the 8k 1960s psychedelic Earth texture... :D

Would anyone like to give this one a tryout? (It's a crazy idea but it might just work?).

If so, I'll try to get a version that will make you smile. I've still got a lot of work to do around the coastal edges, and I don't know whether to just make it mid-ocean or world over. (A great XTC track!).

I'm in the process of getting a host for all my Celestia stuff...shuttles, shallow water, ISS...and other stuff I've got up my sleeves.)

A new website to follow...hopefully!

Many regards..bh.

I'll give it a tryout- what size is it? Email it to me jackhiggins@o2.ie i'll tell you what I think! Looks great already though :)

Oh if its ovr 1MB you'll have to split it up, my isp rejects big emails...

Thanks
