So about a week or so ago, I decided to make the Kerbol system from Kerbal Space Program out of boredom. The problem is that Kerbol was not set up correctly, so I had to ditch the original Kerbol and made a new one from scratch that is more realistic. After that, I laid out the system, and edited the original textures to make them much more realistic looking.

(Keep in mind that the celestial objects and their distances in KSP are actually 10 times smaller than they really are because it would take so long for a spacecraft to get to its destination.)

Been into Astronomy since the age of 3 or 4. Started making planetary textures back in late 2016. 3D animator who makes high quality animations in Cinema 4D. Likes to sometimes, deliberately torment myself with the stupid green screaming apatosaurus that is Arlo.

Seriously, in first : downloaded and tested this morning, the renderings of the planets and moons are great !
in second : a star with a spectral type equal to "G8.0 V", where did you find this ?
In third : a G8V star with radius = 0.91 solar radius which brights more 36 times the sun... where can you find this ?
It's physically impossible, right ?
In fourth : an earthlike at 4.37 AU is again impossible...

Code: Select all
SpectralType "G8.0V"

it's the star from the game Kerbal Space Program, however it was very unrealistic so he remade it for this addon
also no idea why the top quote won't work

again, KSP is unrealistic. Also have yuo heard of tidal heating?jujuapapa wrote:In fourth : an earthlike at 4.37 AU is again impossible...

"Carbon stars with ancient satellites colonized by sentient fungi. Gas giants inhabited by vast meteorological intelligences. Worlds stretched thin across the membranes where the dimensions intersect... impossible to describe with our limited vocabulary."

Ok, let's calm down.

Yes, that is physically impossible, but that is not true for Kerbol, according to MrSpace43. I just asked him and he confirmed that it is actually 0.665 Solar Luminosities, which is a lot more realistic than 36 Solar Luminosities.

Updated addon to replace apparent magnitude of 5.25, to absolute magnitude of 5.19 so delete the old one and replace it with the new one
