Rings (disks) around stars?

Gifs, to show the 3D models while the observer is moving in them ? I don't have the tools to make animated gifs on my old Mac, and they would be pretty big files anyway.

There are some on the first page of this thread: here and here. A more recent disk model made by LukeCEL using sprites can be found here.

Here's an optimized version of that disk model. Optimized in the sense that it looks the same but has a significantly smaller size. To use it in SSC objects, however, you need to do two things: 1) define it with "Emissive true", and 2) not define a texture in the SSC definition.
