A lonely star

Post #1by nickroffical » 01.05.2020, 18:24

Well my 2nd add-on, also this is my first in a very long time.

Welcome to the Entarias system, a system containing a fictional sun like star with no planet.

Entarias - A sun like star it is lonely and is known to be one of the few closest sun like stars out there.

Added after 27 minutes 39 seconds:
Let me make this clear
This star is lonely due to that there is no planets, distance doesn't always mean lonely.

only one bit of criticism

file endings are ALWAYS all the time lowercase

your "stc" file has the file ending in uppercase

It's possibly due to what he used to write the STCs.

I think I have seen a few all caps file extensions under Linux, though only for Windows stuff under wine.

You literally only need to change one thing (make the file extension lowercase) to make the addon work on all operating systems (including Chromebooks, because the Android version of Celestia apparently works on those).

Celestia versions: 1.5.1, 1.6.1, 1.6.2, 1.7.0, and some unofficial versions like Celestia-ED

All my old addons were done in Windows...every texture, .ssc and .stc. Then I switched to Linux a few years ago, and once I got the particulars figured out how to get them installed into the appropriate folder, I fired up Celestia, and VOILA!!!, I had all my add-ons back for me to enjoy!

If it's just a question of changing one little extension, is that really such a difficult thing?

And I had to change ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on my files.
