Important message for Linux and MacOS users.

Try installing the Celestia Origin v.9 on your systems without Wine, using scripts from attachment. Report the OS version and installation results. Than more information, that better. Thank you for any help.

The new version does not just delete concrete files. It makes a backup. Another script returns a clean version of Celestia.

Fictitious png-bumps for the 12 largest transneptunian objects have been converted to dxt5nm-normals. A complete revision it is physical and orbital data was carried out in accordance with the latest scientific publications.

Star textures has been converted to VT tiles. Monoliths are reserved for objects with unusual shapes.

Why don't you guys make a new, detailed neutron star texture? I've used the standard Celestia's bstar texture for a neutron star (see below), but I think a more detailed one with better quality would be good.

(and yes I code-named it "daniel" after the Danny Phantom titular character)

Joey P., this addon from back in 2007 includes some models and textures for neutron stars. I've made a complementary pulsar planets addon which you can find in my addon thread. (I'm not sure what a neutron star would actually look like - I don't think the jets would be visible. Celestia Origin's texture-less neutron stars may be more accurate to what we would actually see.)

A neutron star is very dense. In fact, its surface is solid. This eliminates the presence of spots or granules.

5 millimeters barely registers as something that impedes an object's smoothness. It would still count as solid if that's the case

I know it may not be funny to others, but Arrokoth sounds like Cthulhu's goth niece to me.
Should grow out of it in an Epoch or two.
