Well, if any, the devs might not be focusing on that right now. Hopefully they will soon. If I remember, they are focusing on making a proper database for an Universal Object Identifier for Celestia right now. In short, they are making a catalog that is exclusive to Celestia and encompasses all objects in Celestia regardless of whatever real-life astronomical catalog they belong to. You can read about that in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19521

Absolutely. He's one of the devs, and based on this thread's beginning, the current principal developer of Celestia 1.7.0 right now

You're absolutely welcome

Yup. It's made evident by "one1" appearing invisible

Best place to post bugs is https://github.com/CelestiaProject/Celestia/issues
Still formally developer, but too tired to develop. I feel sad, but Celestia is going forward despite it.

We aware of this. Will fix it with better version when it's ready.

I have fixed Celestia to show them. But they are shown only if their parent body is visible. Is such behaviour is ok for everybody?

onetwothree,
Thank you very much!
Visible parent bodies are OK, but I use a lot of invisible barycenters to build multiple star systems.
I hope it cannot be a problem!
Also I would like to point out, that a lot of my planets are in fact moons orbiting a gas giant...
The cities are on the moons...
Where can we download a windows version to test?
Nice work by the way!

Also we should test Dyson-spheres with inner surfaces (inner oceans).
I built some megastructures around stars too, literally on their surface.

This change affects only surface features. Nothing else.

It's not built yet, I want to wait a bit to gather feedback, maybe somebody unhappy with such change.

Nice!
Yes, you need another sphere to have an inner surface.
Try this Dyson-sphere from Motherload, it has inner surface:

A new win32/64 snapshots are published to https://dl.bintray.com/celestia/celestia-builds/ (only main binaries are updated as data and tools saw no changes since the previous release).
Not so many changes comparing to other releases:
* Build instructions updated (guys I really urge you to build yourself )
* Regression causing invisibility of "diffuse" and "surface feature" objects was fixed
* Planet rings if present are rendered much faster

I tried the new commit and there still seems to be a problem. I tried john71's problem file for surface features.

The other problem files were also invisible.
