First Version of my Protodisc

here is a screenshot from celestia of my protoplanetary disc.
This is only a test but please write your comments.

Please look at Rassilon`s post: "a protostar?" to. There is a Pic from me of a Protostartexture in the bottom of the thread, please let me know what you are thinking about it.

I have some trouble with transparency textures on 3ds objects. I planing to include in this Disc Protoplanets with dustdiscs, but when i attached the texture on it (i use 3ds max for modelling and Deep Exploration for texturing) only the Mesh in celestia is shown but no texture on it. In Deep Exploration it looks great but not in Celestia. Can somebody help me?

I like it! The only problems I have are (1) I think the disk is too bright, and (2) the outer edge seems to be too abrupt. Other than that, good work!

Celestia is becoming more beautifull everyday, thanks to you guy.

But David, I have to say I prefer the other protostar version, posted in "a protostar?".

Anyway, great work. It sounds like my poor GeForce 2 Mx, with so much nebulaes, galaxies and tutti quanti, will bring to knees soon

Thanks for the reply, the Pic show`s only the first release, the final version will have more detail`s.
