Rassilon! Problem with globular cluster generator 1.3

Post #1by Rach » 22.04.2003, 18:11

When I generate a cluster in the data view I can view this:

# HIP 110000
110000 {
RA 0,00000000
Dec 0,00000000
Distance 10000,0000
SpectralType "S0V"
AppMag 20,00 # Radii: 0,656800766083355
}
# HIP 110001
110001 {
RA 0,22521346
Dec 0,12259107
Distance 9992,4997
SpectralType "F6V"
AppMag 18,00 # Radii: 0,604108712971106
}
# HIP 110002
110002 {
RA 0,40162282
Dec -0,03060994
Distance 10004,4089
SpectralType "G5II"
AppMag 21,00 # Radii: 0,184584350511047
}

ETC....

The problem is the coma: 0,4016 instead 0.4016
21,00 instead 21.00

With the coma the .stc file don't work in celestia
I run in WinXP (spanish version)
Why my open cluster generator writes comas instead points???

Regards from spain

PD: sorry for my english

I'd guess it's because that's the default setting for numbers currently being used by Windows. In Rass's absence, all I can suggest is that you temporarily change your Windows settings.
I don't know what the Spanish menu options look like, but in English I'd go through Control Panel / Regional & Language Options / Customize, and then change the decimal symbol from "," to "." Then try generating a cluster again. (Remember to go back and restore the orginal decimal comma once you've finished.)
Hope that helps.

Now Works fine. I chage my regional settings in windows (the default decimal simbol was "," in spanish language) :?
