Perhaps you could provide some details of your computer, operating system and graphics card? Any further information provided by the error message?

You should also be able to tell us what sort of operating system you're using. Once we know that, we might be able to tell you how to find information about your graphics card.

OK. Now go through My Computer -> Control Panel -> System. The start-up panel there should say a little more about your computer, its clock speed and memory. From there click through Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters. That'll give you the name of your graphics card. And if you double-click on the named graphics card, you'll be able to glean more information about it, including the current driver.

After that, some of the graphics-wise folk on the forum may be able to help you further.

groovitude,

Please read the faq. Especially Q1.

Download and install the most recent graphics drivers from ATI.

You do need to know that the RAGE series of cards is not supported very well by ATI any more. You should seriously consider upgrading to a Radeon or a card from a different vendor.

groovitude,
the driver you need can be found at http://mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/winxp/winxpr1286133279.html. It includes OpenGL support (which you need for Celestia). Have fun!
